Rider’s Underwriting Licensing Requirements

Motorcycle License

  • All operators with a valid motorcycle license who are operating any sport / high performance motorcycle are eligible for all coverages.

Motorcycle Permit

  • All operators who are 20 years of age and younger operating any motorcycle with an engine size of 501ccs and over must have a valid motorcycle permit.
  • All operators who are 20 years of age and younger with a valid motorcycle permit who are operating any sport / high performance motorcycle are only eligible for minimum liability only coverage.
  • All operators who are 21 years of age and older with a valid motorcycle permit who are operating any sport / high performance motorcycle with an engine size of 750ccs and under are eligible for all coverages up to and including $100,000/$300,000/$50,000.
  • All operators who are 21 years of age and older with a valid motorcycle permit who are operating any sport / high performance motorcycle with an engine size of 751ccs and over are only eligible for liability only coverage up to $100,000/$300,000/$50,000.

Driver's License

  • Any driver who is not licensed must be assigned to an off-road vehicle or moped for eligibility. An example of an off-road vehicle is an ATV.
  • All operators who are 20 years of age and younger operating any motorcycle with an engine size of 500ccs and under must have a valid driver's license.
