Road/Trail motorcycles have an upright riding position with handlebars a comfortable distance from the seat, mid controls, lightweight (usually under 500 lbs), street and off-road use, 150cc to 1000cc, and are typically foreign made. Road-Trail motorcycles are often called dual-sport motorcycles because of their dual purpose of on-road and off-road use. These motorcycles have street legal lights and tires, but they have off-road tuned suspension and riding clearance. There are a variety of these types of motorcycles by various manufacturers such as Honda, Yamaha, BMW, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Moto Guzzi, Ducati, Husqvarna and KTM.
