Rider insures a wide range of motorcycles and ATV/Off-Road vehicles with insurance coverage options to satisfy the needs of our customers in Maryland. All of our policies insure individuals for recreational use only.
All policies, excluding moped policies, include uninsured motorist coverage. This coverage allows you to obtain payment for damages to your vehicle or injuries caused by an uninsured motorist who is at fault for an accident. This coverage also allows you to obtain payment from us if the person who caused the accident does not have enough insurance to cover your damages.
All policies include guest passenger liability insurance at no additional cost. The limits of coverage for your passenger are the same as your bodily injury liability limits.
Medical Payment Coverages apply only to pedestrians when struck by your motorcycle. Medical Payment Coverages pay the cost of treatment up to $5,000 for the pedestrian from hospitals, doctors, and other medical providers. Medical Payment Coverage is not provided for vehicle operator or passenger.
The State of Maryland requires that all motorcycle operators carry minimum liability coverage. The State of Maryland minimum requirements as of January 1, 2011 are $30,000 bodily injury, $60,000 each accident, and $15,000 property damage. A standard liability policy covers bodily injury and property damage to the other party in the event of an accident deemed your fault.

This coverage will be set at the same limits as your Primary Liability Limits unless you take the proper steps to reduce them. If you wish to reduce this coverage, the first named insured must sign the proper reduction forms.
